Does your child go to school with a sweatshirt or jacket on every day but seems to come home without those same items? Is your child's wardrobe shrinking by the day? The chances are, those missing items can be found in our Lost and Found bin here at school. On a daily basis, students come to school on the cool mornings dressed appropriately but as the day progresses and the temperature rises, they naturally shed those layers as they are playing. Being the joyful kids they are, our students simply take off those clothing items and put them down wherever they are playing not thinking twice that mom or dad is not around to gather those items and put them safely away in their backpacks. Consequently, we now have a mound of clothing that is desperately seeking their lost owner like a puppy searching for his new home.
To reunite the clothing items to their respective homes, we are going to put out all the missing items on the stage on the East Campus for you to look through on February 3rd and February 4th. If you cannot make it to school during the day, we will be opening the East Campus gym the night of the 4th as we have our monthly APTC meeting at 6 and the Herald 4H meets at 7. Any items not claimed at the end of the event will be donated to a local agency. Please take a moment to look through the stacks of clothing before it is too late!
